Committee Elections & Eligibility
Sokol Sydney Ltd committee members are elected democratically by the club members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year.
The AGM Process
All financial members have the right to attend, voice their input, and vote for the incoming committee each year. The AGM timeline strictly adheres to the following conditions:
- Announced to members at least 21 days in advance.
- Scheduled only after the audited financial report is finalized.
- Must take place before the 1st of May each year.
Eligibility Criteria
To uphold the long-standing values and legal management of Sokol Sydney Ltd, candidates running for a committee position must meet these benchmarks:
- Must be formally nominated by a valid financial member.
- Must hold an uninterrupted membership with Sokol Sydney Ltd for at least 5 consecutive years.
- *Exemptions to the membership duration may be formally granted at the discretion of the standing committee.
