We would like to kindly encourage you all to attend, as we will be sharing details about our achievements from last year, discussing changes that happened as well as going through the plan of work & events for upcoming year. Please encourage your friends who are considering to become members to come along and join us on the day. Any of your friends can join and pay for their membership on the day, please encourage them to come early so we have time to fill the necessary form.
IMPORTANT:
Only financial members of SOKOL can attend, participate and vote. Sokol Membership is valid for 1 calendar year. If you haven't paid your membership fees for 2025 yet, you can do so by:
  1. simply clicking on the link below and paying by credit card
  2. sending the payment of $25 to our bank with your name in description:

  3. pay in person by card or cash on the AGM day before 13:00

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS & PAYMENT
We will be only processing renewals and new applications on the day of AGM until 13:00 SHARP, so we can start the meeting on time. 
Our restaurant and bar will be open from 12:00. The bar and kitchen will be closed during the meeting and will reopen after the meeting with refreshment provided to all members.

Committee 2025/2026 nominations

Majority of the current committee members are not seeking re-election this year.
We have delivered many positive changes we had on the roadmap and completed all of them in past years. We believe, that as a community club, members should be actively joining committee and participating for some time and once they believe they delivered, let others to join the committee and continue further with their own ideas and plans that they believe are right for the members and our community.
As much as we enjoyed our time with Sokol, we have families and work commitments that now need more focus than our club, which is now very stable and just needs a regular maintenance.
Anyone who has been a financial member for at least 5 years can be nominated for any committee position. If the person hasn't been a member for 5 years, current committee can give an exemption.

If you wish to seek nomination for any committee position or would like to nominate someone, please send your nominations in writing before the AGM meeting to our secretary at: admin@sokolsydney.com
If you are nominating someone else for a position, please make sure you obtain a consent from that person and cc her/him on the email to Sokol secretary.
There can be multiple nominations for each director position and in such case there will be voting to elect only one candidate. For ordinary members election, if there are more than 5 nominees, only the top 5 candidates with the most votes will be elected as ordinary members.

Please note that as a member of committee you will be entitled to enjoy 50% discount at the bar & restaurant as a form of "Thank You" for all the work you will be doing.

Please if you have anything on your mind - feedback, concern, community activities & sports ideas, etc. - please email us prior to the AGM meeting at admin@sokolsydney.com, so we can allocate time for your concerns in the debate.
FEEDBACK
If you like our work and would like to become one of us volunteers - not just at our events -  it will be most appreciated and welcome.
This is what the club is about and we always need kind members who can lead or supervise kids activities, can help set up or clean up the venue, help us at the bar (RSA essential) or with the food service.
If you are willing to donate some of you precious time by using your trade or skill to help us maintain the building and develop our sports base and participate at our events - it would be awesome. For example: electricians, plumbers, painters, cleaners, but also web designers, graphic designers, IT specialists, web developers, event managers, DJs, coordinators, Czech or Slovak language teachers & more!
Our volunteers always get free meal & drinks & free entry if it is ticketed event.
You can all help us sometimes even just by consulting.
